Lagardère Travel Retail has named experienced company executive Przemek Lesniak as its new Pacific region CEO
Sydney-based Lesniak replaces Matthieu Mercier in the role, who is returning to Paris to assume a new position as Chief Operating Officer Travel Essentials and Food Service at Lagardère Travel Retail France.
Lesniak has worked for Lagardère Travel Retail for more than 17 years in various positions across Poland, France and Australia and moved to Sydney in July 2016 to become General Manager of Travel Essentials.
POWERFUL RÉSUMÉ
Reporting in to Chief Operating Officer Emmanuel de Place, Lesniak has experience working across a range of commercial projects and has played a key role in developing the region’s travel essentials and duty free business. As a graduate of Warsaw School of Economics, he brings a depth of knowledge to the role in the fields of finance, retail and operations. Commenting on the appointment, de Place said: “We are delighted to have someone of Przemek’s calibre and experience to move seamlessly into this role.
“He is very qualified and I’m confident that he’ll continue to strengthen and grow the business in the Pacific region. “I would also like to thank Matthieu Mercier for his leadership, enthusiasm and contribution he has made to our Pacific business over the past six years, which has included significant development in strengthening the presence of the group’s activities in the region”.
